We are thrilled you have chosen Solomons Studio as a place to make your creative vision come to life! Below you will find an overview of our policies, rules, and restrictions for the Studio. We have these terms in place to ensure the Studio is an enjoyable space for all who come through the doors.

RESERVATIONS:

Rental period starts and ends promptly at the scheduled times selected by the Renter. Time scheduled includes set up, breakdown, and cleaning of the space. Studio must be cleaned and vacated by the end of the rental period.

No prior drop-off and/or pick-up of equipment, props, decorations, etc. are permitted unless negotiated at time of rental contract. Additional fees may apply. Early or extended hours must be worked out and paid for prior to rental period beginning. If RENTER or ANY ASSOCIATED PARTY stays past allotted rental time they will be charged based on the current studio rate, regardless of time the space was entered. Late entry does not automatically extend your rental period. Any props, equipment, decorations are NOT PERMITTED to be attached to, stationed against, or placed near windows of the studio. Solomons Studio has 24/7 surveillance to ensure the protection of the space and the Renter.

PLEASE NOTE: Solomons Studio is owned and operated by Photography By Kylee Incorporated. The transaction(s) for each booking will reflect as PHOTOGRAPHY BY KYLEE INC. on the associated bank account linked to method of payment. Please reach out to Solomons Studio for any questions regarding the transaction(s). Dispute of payment will immediately cancel any booking made of Solomons Studio and block Renter from accessing the space or creating future bookings until dispute is cleared and paid back in full with an ADDITIONAL fee of $100.

Please understand that Solomons Studio is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss during rental period. Renter agrees to these terms and will pay for any damages caused in the studio space (outlined below).

CANCELING OR CHANGING YOUR RESERVATION:

ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL. You can reschedule your reservation with no additional charge up to 2 hours before your reservation is set to begin. If reservation is cancelled, you will receive a credit for the amount of hours booked that can be applied towards a future rental at Solomons Studio. If you book multiple hours, you will not be able to divide them into individual bookings. Your credit will expire one year from the date of the original reservation. If you have any issues using your credit please email info@thesolomonsstudio.com.

EVENT RENTALS:

Solomons loves to host small intimate gatherings! When booking an event, please ensure you select “Add Event fee” on your rental package. This covers the additional time and cleaning for after your event. All events MUST have day of insurance and proof of insurance MUST be provided to Solomons Studio within 14 days of your Event at info@thesolomonsstudio.com. Failure to comply will result in cancellation of your event with no applicable refund of any payment(s) made. Previously mentioned RESERVATION terms will apply to any events, and failure to comply may result in additional fees.

Renter will have access to all furniture/props in the studio to use for event. Solomons team can move furniture out of the studio to allow for more space, but cannot move big items (including any backdrops that are in the studio as well as our rolling backdrop or large table). If Renter would like furniture removed, this request MUST be made 14 days prior to reservation. We currently have 4 cocktail tables with 8 barstools and two foldable tables available for all events and can be requested to add to your event at no additional charge. At this time we do not provide large tables or chairs but you are more than welcome to bring your own. We have a wonderful list of recommended vendors for your convenience.

RESTRICTIONS:

-Furniture in Solomons Studio can be moved for Renters preference WITH the floor protectors on only. Please treat the furniture and the floors as your own. Damage to the floor or furniture will result in a damage fee (see below).

-If seasonal sets are in the studio also known as "Holiday Sets", these CANNOT be moved under any conditions. Seasons we will have set ups for include Valentines, Spring, Fall, and Christmas. You may make a request for Solomons to move them and if granted there will be an additional moving fee of $150.

-Renter may shoot outside of the studio in the common areas or in front of the Solomons Studio building. Any props owned by Solomons Studios are not permitted to be moved outside at any point.

-Renter is allowed to make adjustments to both thermostats in the space as they please, but we ask that you adjust both back to original setting before exiting the studio. Failure to do so will result in a $25/hour fee that they are left running at incorrect temperatures. (75 degrees for cool, 65 degrees for heat).

-No smoking is allowed in Solomons Studio.

-Glitter or Sparklers are not allowed! Confetti may be used in the studio with the understanding that the Renter must complete cleanup of all pieces WITHIN rental timeframe. There is a broom and dust pan for your convenience. And confetti left from a rental will result in a cleaning fee (see below).

-Food and drinks are allowed, if you don't plan on taking it with you please dispose of everything once you are finished.  We ask that you follow TABC guidelines when it comes to alcohol, and absolutely no selling of alcohol may take place in the studio.

-No illegal drug usage allowed.

-Music/voices are to be kept at reasonable levels to not to disturb the other businesses of the area and may not contain vulgar or offensive lyrics or words.

-Children must be supervised at all times.

-Candles must be in holders/votives that prevent wax from dripping on surfaces.

-Nails, tacks or staples may not be used in the walls or the doors. You may use command strips. Absolutely nothing can hang from the windows.

-Set up and breakdown times must fall within the total rental period reserved. It is the responsibility of Renter and associated vendors to set up, breakdown, and move equipment and other items within the Studio.

-Renter may not sublease the Studio to any third party.

**Owner or Company representatives may monitor all activities in the Studio and have the authority to enforce this Agreement. Owner or Company representative may terminate the rental if the Renter breaches this Agreement or applicable local law.

PET POLICY:

We love pets! We just ask that all pets be held or on a leash with the owner or a handler at all times. Pets are allowed on studio furniture but ask for the owner or handler to bring the necessary items to clean up accidents or hair their pet may leave behind.

Any “accidents” that may happen on the property must be cleaned/picked up, bagged (bags need to be brought by owner) and thrown away in the dumpster at the back of the property.

**ANY VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN A MINIMUM FEE OF $100 PLUS ANY ADDITIONAL FEES TO COVER DAMAGES CAUSED TO PROPERTY.

BOUDOIR POLICY:

Explicit sexual activity is strictly prohibited. Solomons Studio has 24/7 surveillance to ensure the protection of the space and the Renter. We encourage all changing of clothes be done in the bathroom to ensure privacy. Please keep in mind that Solomons Studio has large windows to allow natural light in and is shared with a commercial building with other tenants. Light Filtering shades are installed for complete privacy.

STUDIO FURNITURE INCLUDING DAMAGE, SETUP, AND CLEANING:

Solomons reserves the right to remove, add, or change any of the furniture, props, backdrops, etc. at any time. Current list of items/backdrops we offer in the studio is located under 'The Studio' tab on our website. If you get to the studio and see an item that you were hoping to use not in the space, please contact us so we can explain why its not in the space or be aware that this item has been removed.

Renter agrees to leave the studio space and ALL provided contents (props, fixtures, furniture, cleaning supplies, etc) in the same condition.  If and when Holiday sets are in the studio, these are not allowed to be moved under any conditions. If Owner sees this during your booking you will be charged a $250 fee for moving the set(s). This policy is in place because as much as we want to see the Renter create in their own way, moving Holiday sets causes damage and or failure to look the same how Solomons Studio presents it. There is plenty of space for other creative outlets without touching any Holiday decor thats in the studio at the time. Renter understands that immediate communication to the Owner is required UPON ARRIVAL for anything you feel is not along our damage/setup/cleaning standards. Once your rental is over at the Studio, if you feel there is damage to any of the furnishings, props or to the Studio itself caused by the you as the Renter, please contact us immediately. Our goal at Solomons Studio is to ensure everyone who walks through the doors has a clean start and doesn’t have to reset anything for use. Renter agrees to leave the studio as they found it so every rental can enjoy their time in the space.

All items (including but not limited to furniture, props and set items, wrapping material, food / food leftovers etc.) brought to Solomons Studio by Renter are to be removed by Renter.

If Solomons Studio is not left in the same condition and setup as arrival, Renter agrees to pay, as applicable (i) a minimum of a $250 cleaning fee (this may increase at owners discretion if it is decided more time will be needed to complete the cleaning of the studio). For premises / property damages (ex: damages to furniture, floor, building, etc.) Renter agrees to pay $250 damage fee, as well as total repair costs charged by a vendor selected at owner’s discretion. Failure to pay additional fees and repair costs will result in an immediate and permanent ban from Solomons Studio and Renter will not be permitted to create future bookings. Solomons Studio and affiliated parties reserve the right to contact a Renter’s provided event insurance if Renter fails to do so within 48 hours of damage notice.
